Our 12 Phases of a Custom Build

#1 Identify what the customers needs are

It all begins with an phone call, visit, or consultation call. At this stage, we've just met each other. We discuss your business type, stage in your business, and most importantly, your business goals. We work with you and identify what you need depending on the goals you've set for your business.

#2 Take deposit and build a CAD drawing

Hurray! You've decided to take the plunge into entrepreneurship. At this stage, our relationship really grows. After taking the initial deposit, we begin to build a CAD drawing and agree to the layout. At that time your order is placed and we can schedule first stage into our work planner.

#3 Smokin Joe's Accepts Delivery

The partially complete trailer is delivered! Customer is notified upon receipt and then we invite you to come see it once it is on the lot. After the trailer enters the shop visits are not possible, but our team will send you photos of progress.

#4 Major fixtures

Vent hood & fire suppression (if required) fitted with the propane tank. Catch up with customer at this stage.

*Please note, sometimes the vent hood and fire suppression are not shipped together

#5 Appliance testing

Appliances installed and tested. Water test performed on all plumbing and tanks. Have another catch up with the customer.

#6 Preparation for walkthough

Clean up and prepare for walk through with customer and set a delivery date - how exciting!

#7 Roll out the red carpet

It's show time! Roll out the red carpet and present the keys. Perform the walk through with the customer making sure everything is explained in and on the trailer. Take pictures and video of the complete trailer. Goodbye and good luck! But remember, we're here to help every step of the way.

#8 We ask for a review the next day

We love reviews, they are very much appreciated for our business growth!

#9 Send Survey at one month anniversary

Feedback is important to our growth. We ask for this one month in.

#10 Send Survey on 11 months of ownership

We ask again how you are getting on at 11 months.

#11 One-year anniversary catch up

Congratulations to having your lovely trailer for one year! How are you doing?  Catch up in person if we can and feature you on social channels.

#12 Two-year anniversary catch up

How are you doing? Is there anything else we can do for you?

  • How much will my trailer cost?

Trailers come in all shapes and sizes, and that includes price. At SJT, you can rest assured we will assess your needs and help you decide what you need to be successful in your mobile business. Keep in mind, the incremental cost is pretty low from one size to the next. For example, trailers increase in size by two feet at a time.
